Biz Buzz: New Filipino restaurant opens
by Tracy Press Dec 09, 2010
Traditional and inspired Filipino food is now on sale in northern Tracy.
“The main thing we’re targeting is Filipino fusion,” said Audie Urbano, who co-owns the eatery with executive chef Ted Romualdo. “We turn our Filipino dishes into different items, like tacos, sliders, bowls, things like that.”
Papa Urb’s Grill opened Nov. 22 at 549 W. Clover Road next to In-N-Out Burger, and serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in an energetic atmosphere.
“It’s kind of fun,” Urbano said.
In addition, Papa Urb’s offers a “traditional Filipino breakfast” starting at 7 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
The restaurant also will cater events.
